Writing Help: Tutoring and Workshops

Drop-in Tutoring

Writing tutors are available to help all U of S students. Drop-in to Murray 142 during our regular hours. If in-person tutoring times are inconvenient, you can receive help through our online tutoring system (also free and confidential).

If you’re looking for discipline-specific writing help, we recommend that you use our free online writing help service. We make an effort to match your paper with a tutor from your own or a related discipline.

Note: Tutors cannot edit or proofread (i.e., correct the grammar and punctuation) your paper. They can teach you about writing, though, using your work as an example of writing issues you may need to work on.  We cannot edit or proofread theses or dissertations.
