This new content brings high quality images of issues from new and existing titles of this period and places the Burney Additional Newspapers collection alongside the original Burney Collection for researchers. All of the Additional Burney papers were uncatalogued for a long time, but have now been fully conserved, catalogued, and finally digitized. The Burney Additional collection contains select issues of rare seventeenth century newsbooks such as The Publick Intelligencer and the Kingdomes Weekly Intelligencer, large runs of major eighteenth-century newspapers such as The General Evening Post or The St. James's Chronicle or British Evening Post, and new runs of issues from titles such as Hue and cry, and Police Gazette.
