GSA Welcome Week Workshops

As part of the GSA Welcome Week activities, the Library Researcher Series will be offering three back-to-back introductory workshops for graduate students. All sessions are free and no registration is required. Sessions held Thursday, Sept. 3, Murray Library, Room 145 (Collaborative Learning Lab), 9:30 - 11:00.

Lit Review Process - 9:30 AM

This session will provide you with a strategy to approach the literature search for your thesis or major project.  

How to Avoid Accidental Plagiarism - 10:00 AM

Understand plagiarism and develop knowledge that will prevent you from inadvertently misusing resources while writing your research paper.

Managing References Tools - 10:30 AM

Reference management software allows you to record, organize and use bibliographic references for your research and assignments. They will also allow you to create and format bibliographies in many different citation styles - saving you lots of time!  This session will overview several tools that are accessible from the U Sask Library.
