Linda Fritz Scholarship For Library Assistants
(STM employees not eligible)

Deadline: June 1 annually to receive a scholarship for the following academic year

In order to be eligible, you must:

  • Have worked as a Casual Library Assistant 1 in the University Library system for a minimum of 400 hours at the time of application
  • Have completed at least 60-credit units in an undergraduate program or enrolled in a graduate degree program at the University of Saskatchewan
  • Have a minimum 70% cumulative average on all attempted course work at the U Sask
  • Submit with your application a letter from the University Library attesting to your hours of employment

Assistants at the University Library

In order to be eligible, you must:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Saskatchewan
  • Have worked as a student assistant in the University Library system for a minimum of 96 hours at the time of application
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Submit with your application a letter from the University Library attesting to your hours of employment

Nasser Family Emergency Student Trust

Nasser Family Emergency Student Trust provides funding to both undergraduate and graduate students experiencing unexpected financial and personal crises, such as

  • Flights home for funerals and other family emergencies
  • Delays in or a sudden loss of funding, especially loss of employment or other situational loss of income
  • Funds for alternative living arrangements after fires and family breakups
  • Unexpected increases in rent and other household expenditures
  • Personal Health or medical emergencies
  • Extra medical costs, including expenses for children with special needs

Students experiencing a crisis can contact Student Central to complete a crisis aid application, either by phone 1-306-966-1212 (1-877-650-1212) or by email askus@usask.ca. Emails should include:

  • A telephone number that you can be reached at
  • A brief outline of your situation
