About INTS 380.3: Internship in Librarianship and Information Studies

 This internship course (3-credit units, unpaid) introduces Arts & Science undergraduates to professional librarianship, with an emphasis on an academic library setting. Interns participate in seminar discussions as well as appropriate, meaningful work in order to advance projects in an academic library while earning course credit.

The course is offered in the winter term (January to April) and typically consists of a seminar on Tuesdays, which includes guest lecturers and student presentations. In addition students complete approximately 70 hours of site work under the supervision of a librarian workplace supervisor. 

Pre-requisites: 60 credits and permission from the instructor. To request permission please submit the application below (available from June to November annually).
