Secondary School Art in the Library: 2025 - Bishop James Mahoney High School

Theme: Artificial Intelligence

The SSAIL (Secondary Student Art in the Library) Program is up and running again after a multi-year hiatus. This year, we are working with a teacher and students from Bishop James Mahoney high school in Saskatoon.

For 2024-2025, students from Bishop James Mahoney explored the theme of artificial intelligence (AI): "What comes to mind when you think about AI... an army of robots... a super computer... a chatbot? There's no doubt AI is a reality and changing the way we engage with the world — and each other. It can write an essay, draw you a picture, and help you apply for a Job It can create code and design new technologies. It can even serve as a trusted advisor and friend. DO the advantages outweigh the drawbacks? What are the moral implications? What will our future world look like if or when AI is everywhere?"
