Writing your Paper for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
When titling your paper, writing the abstract, and creating keywords, you should keep in mind how they will affect how others find your research once your paper is published.
Unless your research goes viral, visits to your article are going to come predominantly from search engines. Your goal should therefore be to ensure that your article appears at the top of the page of search results when someone searches for a term relevant to your research. This process is called search engine optimization (SEO).
