Agriculture and Bioresources 492/494: Tutorials for Finding and Evaluating Information Sources

This guide contains two modules designed to assist 492/494 AgBio students in contributing to the scholarly conversation in their fields, and finding and retrieving relevant and credible information.


Saskatchewan Wheat Field Summer 2020Everyone who writes a thesis has to do a literature review. This guide has been written specifically for students taking 492/494 thesis courses from the College of Agriculture and Bioresources.

On the main menu, you will find two modules:

  • Module 1: Introduction to Sources of Information for Research - How to contribute to the scholarly conversation within your field.
  • Module 2: How to Search and Retrieve Relevant and Credible Information Sources

Each module has subpages that consist of learning outcomes, information about the outcomes, and activities to help assess your knowledge as you go. Your librarian, Virginia Wilson, is available if you have any questions or if you need any help finding appropriate sources for your work.
