One Health: Opportunities at USask

Following the 2012 One Health Leadership Experience, a Facebook page was created for USask students who are interested in discussing One Health-related initiatives.

To strengthen Canada’s role in responding to infectious diseases, the University of Saskatchewan's Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) works with international partners to study human and animal pathogens and develop solutions. Prairie Swine Centre Inc. is a non-profit research and technology corporation with expertise in three disciplines -behaviour, nutrition, and engineering. Specializing in data collection, research protocol development and scientific reporting, we work in the areas of nutrition, ethology and engineering just to name a few.

Our mission is to conduct and stimulate research, education, and health promotion programs aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of agricultural, rural and remote populations.
