This guide is to help navigate and utilize all the library resources available to faculty and instructors in Canvas.
Library and Learning Supports Menu Item in Canvas
The USask Library has created subject specific research guides filled with library tools and resources. These research guides will be available in your Canvas course side menu under Library and Learning Supports. These guides provide key informational resources, including top databases and resources in the subject area, contact information for your liaison librarian, and the Library's AskUS chat.
Click the Library and Learning Supports menu item within your course to see your customized page.
How to Remove or Move the Library and Learning Supports in Your Course Menu
We understand the Library Resources menu item may not be something that belongs in every course. Removing this menu item from any course in Canvas can be done in two easy steps:
- Within the Canvas course, select Settings from the course menu, and click on the Navigation tab at the top.
- Click on the three dots next to the Library Resources item. Select Disable to remove the item from your course menu. Select Move to move the Library Resources item up or down your course menu.
