Welcome to the University of Saskatchewan's tutorial on remote learning.

Whether you are a seasoned remote/online learner or an absolute beginner, this tutorial will help you better understand the skills associated with remote learning success and will help you make the most of the remote learning situation you find yourself in.

One of the student pursuits in the university's learning charter is a willingness to actively engage in the learning process1. This means being willing to

  • learn independently, experientially, and collaboratively with others,
  • engage actively in the learning process through self-evaluation and reflection, and 
  • take personal responsibility for your learning.

The goal of this tutorial, therefore, is to help you become more aware of your strengths and weaknesses as a remote/online learner and to help you develop your ability to be more self-reflective and self-directed in your learning.

At the end of the tutorial is a questionnaire/survey that will help you determine how ready you are to learn remotely. 

Time: This tutorial should take less than an hour to complete.
