The Honouring Tree is a community art installation initiated by the Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum. You can visit the Honouring Tree at the Wascana Centre in Regina.
On February 17th, 2024 at 7:00pm, attend the Black History Month Music Show Saskatoon at Persephone Theatre! Hosted by Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan, this music show will feature the beats and rhythms that have shaped Black culture and history.
The Cultural Wellness Club presents Scene Society. On February 2nd, 2024 and February 27th, the Cultural Wellness Club will be screening Rafiki, the first Kenyan film to be screened at a festival. It was nominated for two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival.
Join the Provost's book club, featuring The Black Prairie Archives: An Anthology, on Wednesdays from 12:00pm to 1:00pm during February, 2024.
Book club members can join the gatherings in person or online via Zoom. Registration is not required in advance. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and retirees are welcome to attend one, two, or all three weekly sessions. Please note that there will be no book club gathering during USask’s Winter Mid-Term Break, which is scheduled from Feb. 19 to Feb. 23, 2024.
