GIS Library Services

Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is a computer based technology used to manipulate, analyze, and visualize digital geospatial data. GIS Library Services at the University Library provides access to geospatial data, as well as software, training and help in order to support research and teaching. GIS Library Services is part of The Spatial Initiative at the U Sask.

The GIS libguide is a supplement to the GIS Library homepage, and aids in finding GIS information related to specific subject areas.

The GIS Library can provide access to data, GIS software, training opportunities and more!

What's New

The University Library has recently purchased a new product for mapping business data along with demographic data for all of Canada. Create maps and reports to answer questions like: Where should I locate my retail store? What are the demographic characteristics of my neighbourhood? and more!
