Biomedical Sciences: Protocols

Protocols

Cold Spring Harbor Protocols    A collection of Cold Spring Harbor protocols, including over 700 methods in molecular and cell biology.

Nature Protocols  "is an online journal of laboratory protocols for bench researchers. Protocols are presented in a 'recipe' style providing step-by-step descriptions of procedures which users can take to the lab and immediately apply in their own research. Protocols on the site are fully searchable and organized into logical categories to be easily accessible to researchers."

Websites

  • Protocol Online

Protocol Online is a database of research protocols in a variety of life science fields. There are protocols from global researchers and links to bio techn companies, personal websites and other web protocols.
  • Bio-Protocol
Founded by Stanford researachers, this is an online journal.  It contains opent access life science protocols and video protocols.
  • myExperiment
"The myExperiment Virtual Research Environment enables you and your colleagues to share digital items associated with your research — in particular it enables you to share and execute scientific workflows."
  • OpenWetWare

Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE)

Check the Journal of Visualzed Experiments. This resource for videos on protocols. These protocols offer step-by-step instructions to enable others to reproduce the technique.  Each video is 10-15 minutes long and is by a written component, which contains introductory remarks, the protocol, representative results, discussion, and references.
