Mobile Apps for Health Sciences: Read by QxMD

Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and download the Read by QxMD app. Open the app on your mobile device. Under settings (gear icon) choose University of Saskatchewan as your "institution". You will need to choose between automatic login using network services ID and manual login. If you choose the latter, you will need to log in every time you use the app.

The app allows you to place interlibrary loan requests for any articles to which the U Sask library does not subscribe. Be sure to place any interlibrary loan requests using your USask email address and include your NSID in the message. 

Under "App Settings -- PDF Download Options", you may want to turn off automatic PDF download to conserve space on your mobile device.  As indicated in the setup video, you may also wish to turn off email and/or push notifications;  go to "App Settings -- Notification Settings -- Push & Email Notifications" and make the selections you would like.

Wireless access is required to use some of the functions of the app, such as downloading articles and placing interlibrary loan requests.
