Finding Relevant Reviews

Before you start, you must determine whether there are existing reviews or published/registered protocols for reviews that have been or will be conducted on your topic.

In general, where to find relevant synthesis reviews will depend on the discipline of the study and the type of review.

The following are some, but not an exhaustive list, of the resources available for finding Systematic Reviews:

• Cochrane Library
• Campbell Collaboration
• JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute) EBP Database (protocols, systematic reviews, and scoping reviews)
• Epistemonkos
• PROSPERO (protocols of Systematic Reviews)
• EPPI-Centre's Index of Systematic Review Topics

In addition to these specialized databases, you can also find synthesis reviews in other subject-specific databases:
