Learning with Technology Toolkit: USask Essentials

Getting Started

Your NSID

What is my NSID, why do I need it and where do I get one?

Before you begin your learning journey at USask, ensure that you are able to log in to your PAWS, Canvas, and Zoom accounts. For this, you will need an NSID, your unique username of three letters and three numbers (abc123). You received your NSID via email or letter when first admitted to USask. If you are unable to locate your NSID, contact Student Central for help.

With your NSID, you can enable multi-factor authentication and install licensed versions of the tools you will use most often, like Canvas, Zoom, and Microsoft 365. For more information about the technologies required to get started, visit the Technology Tips page.

These tools will help you get started and are essential to your success at USask:

Microsoft Office 365
