Using the catalogue search functions (not just USearch) can help you to create a more precise and relevant set of search results.
In the Catalogue you can search by:
Keyword
Title
Author
Subject
ISBN/ISSN
LC Call Number
Dewey Call Number
Local Call Number
To do this, begin by selecting the Catalogue link on the library's homepage.
Next, select limiters for your search from the dropdown menus, finally enter a search term in the search field.
If you would like access to more search terms, limiters, and the ability to use boolean operators, select the Advanced Search link from bottom of the search window.
Limiting your search to the Audio Visual Collection can be very useful when looking for films, as many of the directors also have books or papers in the catalogue.
The Catalogue Help Centre provides instruction and tips for Navigation of the library catalogue, creating Preferred Searches in your library account, online Renewls of your borrowed library resources, Searching and Advanced Searching of the catalogue, and the creation of resource lists in your library account.
