This guide was conceived as an internal resource for the Library to help those presenting and developing content use the various technology in different and effective ways.
Breakout rooms can be created by clicking the four square, "Breakout Rooms" button at the bottom of your screen.
When you click on the "Breakout Rooms" button you will get a pop up which lets you set the number of rooms and how they are populated.
Choose the number of room and then have the computer randomly assign participants to rooms or assign them manually. After that is decided click the blue "Create" button and you will get this:
Hover your mouse over the room line and you will get the option to rename the rooms (like above). If you are assigning manually you will click the hyperlinked blue "Assign" and the names of the participant will appear and you can click on the people to put in the room. When you are ready you can launch the rooms by opening them.
You have further options under "Options":
The above is what is automatically set. You can add "Automatically move all participants into breakout rooms." You can choose how long you would like the breakout session to last by clicking on "Breakout rooms close automatically after:" and then set the length.
