**The most current version of EndNote available is EndNote 20. If you are using EndNote X7, please refer to this guide. For assistance with X8 or X9, please refer to Clarivate's support site.
EndNote 20 is a desktop-based program that lets you manage and organize all of your references, import multiple references from databases, insert references easily into papers, and create instant bibliographies.
It must be purchased from USask IT Acquisitions, but once purchased you will own the product forever. When used in conjunction with EndNote Online (free) you can share references with colleagues and access references anytime or anywhere.
If you aren't sure if you're ready to commit to buying EndNote, you can download a free 30-day trial version . Please note that the "trial version" is fully featured, and the same as the paid version. If it's not for you, you can export your citations into the citation manager of your choice.
EndNote Online is free for the U of S community. While it doesn't have some of the advanced features of EndNote Desktop, it does a decent job of saving, and organizing your bibliographic references, so that you can easily insert citations into a paper, using the format of your choice, and easily creating a bibliography. Find "EndNote' in the A-Z Databases list, then create an account.
Access is restricted to current students, faculty, and staff of the University of Saskatchewan, and walk-in users, for educational, research, and non-commercial personal use. Access will continue as long as the Library licenses any product available on the Web of Knowledge interface.
