Getting Started in Grad School: 1.1 Understanding the Difference

Have you considered how graduate school will be different from your undergrad? To start thinking about this, consider the following questions

• is learning in grad school the same as learning in undergrad?
  • if so, how are they the same? 
  • if not, how are they different?
• what does it mean to be an academic scholar?
• what do you think an academic scholar does?
• what does it mean to be a member of a scholarly community?
