Getting Started in Grad School: 6.2 Learning Outcomes

As shown throughout this tutorial, there are many things to consider as you start your graduate program - from how you will manage challenges to how you will adjust to grad school norms. But it is helpful to think about what you want to take away from this experience beyond the knowledge and skills you will develop as part of your coursework or research. Doing so can help ensure a well-rounded and gratifying graduate experience as well as help you explore possible career goals. 

At the end of the module, you should be able to

• identify educational and extracurricular activities you want to pursue during your studies, and
• reflect upon the value of participating in such endeavours.
