Depending on your country of origin, Canadian universities will be slightly, somewhat, or significantly different than schools in your home country.  

Some characteristics and norms of Canadian universities are highlighted below. Before you review, consider the academic culture at your previous institution(s)

  • how might the culture inform your current educational expectations, norms, and practices?
  • how similar or dissimilar do you expect USask to be compared with your previous university?
