Getting Started in Grad School: 3.4 Identify your Program and Course Expectations

Program Expectations

While there are shared expectations and general timelines set by the university and CGPS, every program at USask has different expectations and timelines. On this page, you will do an activity that will help you organize the expectations in your program. Have a document in the background in which you can record your findings. Please do the following:

  1. Open a new window, then set it up so you can see that window and this one.
  2. Go to your departmental website on the newly opened window.
  3. Find the graduate section.
  4. Read anything that is relevant to you. This may be graduate program guides, policies, or descriptions.
  5. As you are reading answer the questions below and keep the answers for future reference.

CGPS has a very good page that helps you navigate course and program expectations. You can find that at the following link: Mapping -- The Grad HUB -- College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
